A New Chemosensor Based on a Luminescent Complex for the Investigation of Some Organophosphorus Pesticides in Environmental Samples

Organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) play a vital role in agriculture. However, their release into the environment can have serious repercussions. Therefore, development of rapid and reliable methods for determining OPPs has received considerable attention recent decades. Here, new chemosensor based on complex vitamin B1 (vitB1) as ligand with europium(III) ion, 1:2 stoichiometric ratio, was developed solution to detect chlorfenvinphos malathion water samples using luminescence method. The detection method is quenching Eu(III)–vitamin probe upon increasing concentration or malathion. optimum solvent methanol. limits were 0.31 0.12 µM malathion, respectively. According ratiometric method, 13-fold higher binding affinity Eu(III)–(vitB1)2 than chlorfenvinphos. reaction between under study spontaneous had negative ΔG0. successfully applied determine three different samples.
